Location: Global, fully remote
Job Type: Contractor (~15 hours per week)
Schedule: Flexible—you choose the hours and days you work, including weekends if desired
We are looking for a highly skilled
Circuit Design Expert to contribute to an AI training project involving electronic hardware, circuit simulation, programmatic EDA workflows, verification, and Python.
The work involves creating, solving, reviewing, and validating engineering tasks related to analog, digital, power, mixed-signal, or RF circuits. A representative task may require interpreting circuit requirements, producing or modifying a netlist or hardware description, running simulations or verification tools from the command line, analyzing the resulting outputs, and determining whether the design satisfies its electrical and functional constraints.
This is a very coding heavy role. Candidates but have experience using coding agents with python in their workflow.
What You’ll Work On
- Design, analyze, and validate analog, digital, power, mixed-signal, or RF circuits.
- Translate electrical requirements into schematics, netlists, models, HDL, constraints, or simulation inputs.
- Run circuit simulation, synthesis, verification, or related workflows using command-line-accessible tools.
- Use Python to generate inputs, automate simulations, run parameter sweeps, control instruments, and analyze results.
Required Qualifications
- An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; or
- A BS in Electrical Engineering plus at least 1–2 years of relevant professional circuit-design experience.
- Meaningful experience designing analog, digital, power, mixed-signal, or RF circuits
- .
- Experience with designs that were fabricated, integrated, shipped, or taped out—not only simulated.
- Practical proficiency with
Python and coding agents
- Relevant tools may include ngspice, Xyce, Yosys, Verilator, KiCad scripting
- , SPICE-compatible simulators, HDL simulators, synthesis tools, or equivalent programmatic EDA software. Experience with a comparable CLI-accessible tool is acceptable.
- Relevant Python tools may include
PySpice, NumPy, SciPy, pandas, Matplotlib, cocotb
, instrument-control libraries, EDA APIs, or internally developed automation tools. No single library is mandatory.
Process
- Apply to the role and complete the screening questions.
- Complete an AI interview of approximately 30 minutes.
- Complete the hiring manager review.
Compensation Structure
- Compensation is output-based. Experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply.
Start Timeline & Availability
We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts who are ready to begin immediately. If selected, you will be expected to start your first task within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
