AI training jobs by profession
AI training jobs pay professionals to review, write and grade the kind of work AI models attempt in their field: legal analysis, clinical notes, code, financial models, translations. On micro1's public list, rates and requirements change a lot by profession, from law and science roles near the top to language and generalist roles near the bottom.
This guide goes field by field. For each one: what the work looks like, how many micro1 roles were open, the median hourly rate micro1 lists, and what the listings usually ask for. All figures come from this site's copy of micro1's public job list on 9 October 2026 (306 open roles). The "median rate" is the median of the top of each listed hourly range. These are rates listed by micro1, not earnings, and micro1 decides who is selected and for how much work.
If you are new to the idea, start with what AI training work is. To see every role and filter by field, browse all 306 open roles.
What the work has in common
- Contract and remote. Most listings describe the role as a remote contractor position.
- Your field knowledge matters more than AI skills. About 189 of 306 listings say no prior AI experience is required.
- Typical tasks: writing realistic problems, reviewing AI answers, grading them against criteria, and explaining what is wrong.
- An AI interview first. micro1's documentation says its AI recruiter, Zara, interviews every applicant, the session lasts 20 to 40 minutes, and human recruiters review the results to match candidates to roles. See the micro1 AI interview guide.
